It's Jessica from NYPress, aka Betty Boop. Thanks for the shout out in the paper regarding my VH article. I am so glad that there are other serious fans out there who are always happy to lend support.I'm glad I finally found you guys...I've been travelling computer-free for the last three weeks...Wolfman I found your website/shrine but I couldn't locate your email address on it...I would have gotten in touch with you sooner.

By the way, VHII sounds very good on vinyl today. Eddie's sound on Somebody Get Me a Doctor, to me, is the very definition of rowdiness and powerful production. Like I said in that article, I'm burned out on talking about VH's genius, but then again, I ain't. Recently, my attention is turned to the brilliance of Templeman's and Landee's production and engineering skills. I laugh til I cry whenever I hear DLR yell "you can't get romantic on a subway LIINNNUHHH!" And Eddie strums down so hard he practically detunes to finish out the phrase, brrooing, and I'm so psyched that Templeman LET THE VU METER PIN OUT and distort like it was just live and off-the-cuff and effortlessly right. and he didn't change it in the final mastering.
Anyway.
The love and respect and the kicks just keep on flowing...more later

Betty Boop, woman you talk some excellent VH! That's an excellent post!

Welcome aboard girl friend... You've gotta stop by the bar and share a drink with the rest of the ladies... Angel, diamond's girl (AKA DG), Lead Synth (aka LS), and loads more... and that would include me too! Well show you the ropes and the way around to the back room, where the twinkie stash is and all that good stuff.

Thank you kindly...I'm around & could use a twinkie.
But now I'm so
Please feel free to show me around your domicile later.
Our lips are so close.

But before I go:
I think Women & Children first is their best album. It was the first one written after they recorded all of their ancient stuff that became VH and the outtakes (VHII, ay mami).
Women& Children is all new material, and you can really hear how good that material is when you hear live recordings of the 80 tour.I have a boot mp3 of of them introing with Romeo in London, 12/80, Eddie soloing over the announcer--lousy acoustics, low-ceilinged club, total mayhem--amazing--no in-fighting, at least at that point...
and somehow W&C, the studio album, is just as furious, live and loose. It's their best. At least I'm saying that for tonight.
And the back cover of W&C taught me how to smoke and be like totally awwwwwwwite with shit.
