This morning as I was getting ready to head to work, I flipped on TV Land and got sucked into an episode of "The Love Boat". Now, I loved this show as a kid (The Saturday night block of Love Boat and Fantasy Island while waiting for SNL in the late 70's was pretty much my life when I was 8). But I forgot how much this show is really a time capsule for the 70's. Here were today's guest stars, all seen within a matter of 6 minutes:

    Donny Osmond - playing a "disco/country" singer
Marion Ross - Yes, one of Mrs. Cunningham's many appearances.
Rich Little - Former man of 1000 voices
Loni Anderson - what great cleavage she had. As a young lad, I had many impure thoughts about Ms. Anderson.
The guy who played the Mayor on Carter Country - I can't remember his real name, but this guy is in every 70's ensemble show.

Not sure where this topic will go (or if it will even go anywhere), but I thought I would share a moment of levity today.

I always thought Julie was super hot. Here's an interesting link on celeb Love Boat "passengers" who have passed away.

It's sad to see all those great actors (well some of them anyways) that have passed away, but I just had to laugh when I saw how Sunny Bono died:
