Who watched this one this holiday season? I do every year. I love this movie. It sends such a good message, and I think Jimmy Stewart is pretty cool So what do you guys think of this movie?

I preferred the Married . . . with Children version where Al is shown by an angel (Sam Kennison) what would've happened had he never been born. Peg saved herself for marraige, is a housewife who loves cooking and is married to a stud, the kids are Rhodes Scholars. Al figures they don't deserve to be so happy after the hell they've put him through so he tells the angel he wants to live. Great episode.

The Jimmy Stewart one, good but over-rated.

Merry Christmas

Ironically, "It's A Wonderful Life" was a bomb when first released and now it's considered THE Christmas classic.

Personally, I'm an "A Christmas Story" guy...

I watch it every year, almost religiously. Sometimes twice, once on T-day, and again on Christmas eve or Christmas day. Love it.

I always like the "Rudolph" show. I loved it when I was little, then forgot about it. Then a couple years ago, I saw that they actually made toys from the show, like the Bumble, Rudolph, and my favorite, Yukon Cornelius....BTW, Yukon Cornelius would be a great username for a message board.
Gozer the Traveller will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

Yup. It was considered Jimmy Stewart's folly, worst movie, total joke. Right up until the copyright expired and the networks could air it for free. Boom, instant classic. Just goes to show you that if you ram it down our throats frequently enough, even shit tastes good.

Or at least that's what I've heard, I can't vouch for that since I wasn't alive when it first came out.

I like A Christmas Story, and I'm a bit of a sucker for Miracle on 34th Street, prefer the old one.

If you were *really* an astute viewer, you'd notice that Karl Schwarz is the teenager who opens the gymnasium floor to reveal the pool during the dancing seen.

Karl Schwarz.....otherwise known as 'Alfalfa'.

He even does his "Little Rascals" affirmation nod to his pal. Very Cool.

I like it, but I prefer A Christmas Story, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and the Rankin/Bass Holiday specials (Rudolph, etc.). The other "tradition" I have is to watch the entire Beatles Anthology series around Thanksgiving time every year ever since it debuted on TV in 1995.
