I downloaded and installed a program called photo editor. Its something like Adobe Photoshop. Then I find out that when I try to open any pictures on my computer it opens in Photo editor. So I tried uninstalling it. But now I can't open any pictures at all. If I try opening a JPEG image It says " VICMAN.EXE is not found. This program is needed for opening files of JPEG image."

    Help.

sounds like it became your default program for jpegs....by default. When you unintalled it, your old prog wasnt being used to view anymore. What were you using prior? Whatever it was, try to look in the options area, and set it back up as your default viewer. If that doesnt work, re-install it.

Hope you get it all figured man.

Go to My Computer. Then across the top, choose VIEW, then FOLDER OPTIONS. Then choose the tab all the way to the right FILE TYPES. select the image file type from the list, you will probably want to change JPEG, GIF, and BMP. Choose EDIT to change the program you want to use to open each of these file types. you will then have to BROWSE to the EXE file for the program you'll want use. In the absence of a third party dedicated image viewer, I would choose MSPAINT. The default location for that program is: C:\PROGRAM FILES\ACCESSORIES\MSPAINT.EXE.

    Good luck!

You may want to use iexplore.exe for GIF and JPEG files.

    Just a suggestion

theres a good freeware image viewer out there called 'irfanview', it'll let you resize photos and a few other little tricks too... just do a search at download.com or somewhere
