First of all, the original Halloween is the best horror flick ever. Period. I can't believe more of you guys don't have it on your list. Second, where's any mention of the Friday's?

Are you talking about the Friday's with Ice Cube?

Those movies would make my horror-guilty-pleasure list (the first six or seven anyways!)

Also, Blair Witch is awesome! Forgot that one.

11. Halloween (Jamiee Lee is smoking in this one)
12. Friday the 13th part 1

I think that terrible Friday the 13th sequel where somehow a boat makes it from that lake all the way to NYC has tainted my memories over Jason movies.....man that was a stinky movie.

Blair Witch??? I'm sorry, but that was such a let down! With MAYBE the exception of the last 10 minutes, it was the biggest waist of $7.00 I've ever spent.
1) The "DEAD" trilogy
2) The Exsorcist
3) Evil Dead series
4) Carrie
5) Elm Street (first 3)
6) 13 Ghosts (just rented it)
7) The Omen series
8) Halloween 1
9) Faces Of Death
10) Madman (obscure chop flick from the early 80's)
Plstrcast everywhere else, Smudge NYC here.. so kiss my arse!

http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/smudgenyc

Faces of Death?!?!
j/k
Those were cool!
I like Blair Witch for the realism (if you bought the acting)and it brought me back to my childhood of camping out in the woods and getting the shit scared out of each other by "hearing" noises.

Same here, FH. The last scene was especially chilling if you bought into the whole "fantasy" of the movie.

Others that I like are:
Poltergeist
Amityvillle Horror
Jaws
The Exorcist
Trick or Treat (campy fun with a heavy metal twist)
Seven (more of a mental thriller...what you didn't see scared you more!)
Salem's Lot (another campy / guilty pleasure)
The Shining
BS's Dracula (Keanu's acting was horrifying enough!)
