Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones: AOTC will lose (as most of you
already know) to Spider-Man in the international race. The film is still
playing extremely well in Japan. It had $70,877,075 as of last weekend where
it is still grossing at third place. With just Spy Kids 2 and The Royal
Tenenbaums opening next weekend, Zoolander and About a Boy the week after,
and only Signs after that AOTC should continue to perform over $1 million a
weekend. It has a 95% to cross $80 million, 50% to cross $90 million, and
15% to cross $100 million. The film is still in the top 25 in the U.K.
grossing $58,991,402 as of 9/6. It has finished its run in Australia with
$18,947,068. In Germany and France it continues on with $35,089,617 and
$29,440,008 to date. Spain has it at $16,255,034 where it is still grossing
while Mexico has a rather disappointing $8,781,453 where its still grossing.
It will cross $1 million in Argentina and finish with around $4.1 million in
the Netherlands. In Chile it is still grossing in the Top 10 with $1,625,844
to date. And it finished in Russia with the third highest performance of all
time with $5,212,332. Should Japan gross over $100 million the film could
finish with around $375-$385 million, but I'll play it safe with $360
million. It has $324,124,609 to date.

Spider-Man: Spider-Man is also still grossing abroad. It grossed $3,985,507
on its opening week in China back on August 7th and should finish with about
$10 million there. It just reentered the Top 15 in the U.K. for $43,880,813
to date, but has finished its run in Australia. It was $29,106,861 and
$32,518,512 in Germany and France. It has $22,126,258 in Spain and
$30,873,765 in Mexico. Its pretty much finished elsewhere. It should cross
$400 million and finish with about $405 million unless it receives
re-releases in more countries. It has $395,133,709 to date.

Big deal, I still like Star Wars better....

When Spiderman part 5 does as well as Episode II did (Which of course is the 5th SW movie) THEN we'll talk of how great a phenominum Spiderman is!
