Is this on talent, or stardom? If it's wrestling talent, no way does Hulk Hogan belong up there.

Gotta give some props to Randy "Macho Man" Savage.

Austin is no question the greatest. If you've noticed all the wrestlers now kind of rip-off a lot of the things that Austin did. Like the way he wrestles and speaks and shit. I guess I watch to much of that crap to notice these little things.

If we're talking "influence", I could think of a few...
Steve Austin
Hulk Hogan
Ric Flair
Bruno Sammartino
Andre

If we're talking "impact", I'd say...
HH
Andre
Ric Flair
Piper
the Gobbly Gooker (just kidding about that one)
Dick the Bruiser

If it's sheer talent (today), I'd say...
Bret Hart
Chris Benoit
Chris Jericho
Kurt Angle
a bunch of those high flying cruiserweights

The lists go on and on and on...
Macho Man, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Sting, Mick Foley, The Rock, Triple H, Goldberg
(I guess he DOES have SOME influence), Undertaker, Kane, etc

Here's my list (For what it's worth):

[in no order]

Hulk Hogan
The icon, changed wrestling forever. Austin and the Rock may rule today, but Hogan was the first to have theme music, the first to be a crossover pop icon, the first to really turn wrestling merchandise into a multi-million dollar industry.

Ric Flair
Sure, he was the 14 time NWA/WCW heavyweight champion of the world, but more importantly, Ric Flair perfected the type of "in your face" mic skills that helped put the Rock over with the crowds today. He is probably the penultimate character personality in wrestling. Woo!

Chris Benoit
If you've seen any of his Japanese matches as Wild Pegasus (IIRC) you'd know why. He's the only gimmickless wrestler I know that is consistantly over with the fans, he probably knows more moves than any other wrestler (Bret Hart being a close second), and he's a hell of a worker.

Gorgeous George
Years before any of the wrestlers we know today existed or dreamt of wrestling, GG was the first to build a persona and gimmick. GG's gimmick has been copied by many many wrestlers since, including "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Marcus "Buff" Bagwell (among hundreds more).

Shawn Michaels
Yes he could work. Yes he had charisma dripping from his pores. But more importantly, Shawn Michaels was a "small" wrestler. These days he'd probably be a light-heavyweight. But he succeeded in proving that you didn't need to be a big man to compete with the larger wrestlers and convincingly dominate the title scene. People like Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho wouldn't be where they are in the promotion today if it wasn't for him.
"Just once I'd like to do the right thing and not get punished for it."
