Pitchers and catchers for Oakland and Seattle report tomorrow morning!!!! It's that time of the year again. All of your favorite players will hit .300, win 20 games and win the division. Spring Training is in the air!!!

The way I see it:
AL EAST
1. NY
2. BOS
3. TOR
4. BALT
5. TB

AL CENTRAL
1. MINN
2. CHI
3. CLE
4. KC
5. DET

AL WEST
1. OAK
2. ANA
3. TEX
4. SEA (Sorry M's fans, hate the pitching staff)
WILDCARD: CHICAGO

NL EAST
1. ATL
2. PHIL
3. FLA
4. NYM (free agent doomsville)
5. MON

NL CENTRAL
1. CHI
2. HOU
3. STL (weak pitching after top 3)
4. CIN (weak pitching,, period)
5. PITT
6. MIL

NL WEST
1. SF (solid rebuild after Kent move)
2. LA
3. AZ (One of the "big 2" goes on the DL)
4. COL
5. SD (contend in '04)
WILDCARD: HOUSTON

Both Chicago teams in the playoffs???? Stranger things have happened, well maybe not stranger than that.

And, like I predicted last year:

Twins over Giants in 7!

I have no problem with OAK and ANA being picked ahead of the M's, it was a tight race last year and both those teams are deserving. BUT! TEXAS!! WTF has Texas done to improve there pitching staff? or there team? M's pitching staff is the same minus Baldwinas (who sucked).

Were do you get your CRACK? The A-rods need to score 12 runs or more to win games. Your High and I have lost all respect for you, you are dead to me, I am bringing your account up in front of the VH forums banning revue board.

HelloHawk, I like how you picked the Cubs to win the NL Central. That's almost as much of a joke as the Twinkies winning the World Series.

The Twinkies are a good team, but your basing your predictions on intangibles. Just because team chemistry was good last year, and they got all the bounces their way, doesn't mean they're the best team in the AL. They aren't even the best in their division!

I said this last year, I know, but I'm going on the record saying this again. The White Sox will win that division. With that offense, their revamped bullpen, and starting combo of Colon and Buehrle, they are going to run with it.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Chicago White Sox (1901-present) - The Original SOX - Proof

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

As far as the M's pick, I needed a shocker. I realized that most of my picks were the standard, so I had to mix it up a bunch. I'm not only not impressed with the M's pitchers, I think their hitting will keep going downhill and over the hill. Do get me wrong. I like Seattle, but not this season.

Ahhh, Pabs, you're back with your annual "The White Sox are the best team God ever created" spring optimism. I love it. It should be a great race in the AL Central.

Q: What's a sure sign that it is spring in Wisconsin???

A: The Brewers are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
Gozer the Traveller will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

I throw myself on the mercy of the VH Forum Court.

Garcia - good, shaky ERA
Moyer - at 40 years old, he's due for a collapse
Pineiro - solid start, but faded last year
Then its Franklin & Jamey Wright
Doesn't sound like a contending rotation to me.

Aside from Olerud (how does that guy do it), it might be the worst hitting infield in the AL.

Well, there are no real big expectations for the Red Sox this year. Based on that I think that the Sox will have a good year and make the playoffs. Whenever the expectations are low for this team they always seem to do well and surprise everyone. Of course Nomahh, Pedro, and Manny are the keys to their success and to a lesser extent Derek Lowe will be a key as well. As they go, so go the Red Sox. I think Nomar is going to have a monster year, if he can stay healthy. He had a good year last year, but he still was not at the level that he was at before he had the wrist injury. Now, with another off-season under his belt, his wrist should be back to full strength and I think he could have an MVP type season.

This COULD be the year for the Red Sox.

I didn't say they are the best thing God ever created, but I don't think they are the going to finish in second.

C'mon. Intagibles?!?! Bounces their way?!?! I think they deserve a little more credit, just ask A's fans (if you can find any). Their top 3 pitchers(Radke, Mays & Milton) missed months of the season and every infielder had worse offensive seasons than they did in 2001. The talent and depth is there for an even stronger 2003 campaign. Luck? puh-leease.

Yeah - I'm looking forward to this year a little more than I have the past few - hoping the labor struggles are behind us for a bit. Finished reading "Ball Four" on my way out here to the "future home of the Expos"(?) and the new chapters were kind of poignant.
Did make me think anew about the Yankees, but I still hate 'em, though!
