Today in the "Strange Brew" comic strip there was a VH reference (why aren't there any topics on this yet?). I'm not sure how many papers it's in, but it was in mine. I scanned it so everyone can see it. Sorry if it's too big.

Don't know whether that was supposed to be Dave or Sammy, but I don't recall either of them having a pierced nose.

Does anyone remember Bloom County--a strip popular in the early-mid 80s. In one strip, the town of Bloom put on a Farm Aid festival and VH played. There was a great line in one box, as a bespectacled kid approaches DLR onstage and says, "Mr. Van Halen singer, would you please stop inciting the crowd to 'get rowdy.'"
Thanks for the great post!!

Yeah, I don't get what it's supposed to mean either.

Actually, it wasn't FARM AID, but the Us Festival. And as you can see here, Opus himself was one of the opening acts

(Sorry, GeoShitties won't let me copy the damn thing and paste it here.......bastards.)

Thanks for posting that comic strip. We don't get that one with the Hartford Courant. Pretty funny though!
