I got to see an advance screening of this movie and you will see that it changed my best movie pick of 2001. This movie is well worth the price of a high-priced movie ticket. If you were disappointed by The Phantom Menace-this movie will make you forget the name George Lucas! I can't wait for the sequel next Christmas already! I give this movie a 10+!

I can't wait to go see it. It's the most eagerly anticipated movie of the year for me. I love The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.....

But I don't think I could ever forget George Lucas. Star Wars STILL kicks ass, even if TPM was a bit of a disappointment....

From what I've read about the next Star Wars movie (Attack of the Clones), sorry, but this one will blow away The Lord of the Rings.

You know, the inherent problem with Lord of the Rings (or LotR for short) is that J. R. R. Tolkien is BORING AS HELL!!!

I read a D&D message board and all the people over there are going ape stuff over this movie. I mean, hello, am I the only guy that likes fantasy that thinks LotR is over-rated?

Fellowship of the Ring is decent. Okay, I may bring myself to see the movie version sometime. But I always quit out during the Two Towers (or is it Twin Towers? Dunno) because it's just so BORING! Blech!

I'm with you on this FanHalen, I can't wait until 12/19/01 so that I can see it for myself. Hey...How did you get an advance screening??

This is literature blasphemy!!! John Ronald Reuel Tolkien is one of the great writers of this century, let alone the fantasy genre. If it wasn't for Tolkien there wouldn't be a fantasy genre. The LOTR is the template that all fantasy stories are compared to. And Why? Because it was the first and the best. When I say first I'm mean that Tolkien was the first writer to create an entire civilization and history. This guy made up his own laguage for the elves in the story. Now you see shit like this in other fantasy stories (Star Trek and their Kilingon dictionary). Tolkien and the LOTR is an originaland everything else since is just a pale comparison.

FH, you suck man! How do you get all these advance screenings all the time? And where do I sign up? Seriously, all these commercials and ads are teasing the hell outta me!! I can't believe I'm this excited to see a movie! Patience is not a virtue, it's b.s. torture!

We haven't had any real contact with each other there because we don't like each other, Pierre, and that makes for some very colorful sparks, all right. And I've got to admit, and got to say that it's inevitable, that there would be a reunion, it's one of the most hotly anticipated reunions in the history of the sport, OK? I wouldn't be surprised if it was relatively soon, on our lifetime while our clothing is still in style hopefully! Ya know it's like my Dad said, always told me, "Don't be humble, you're not that good." Dave, November 13, 2001
