Someone on this site told me about a series (a trilogy?) of books on King Arthur that was given a great recommendation by a couple of you, but I forgot the titles. Anybody remember?

While discussing LOR a couple were tossed around, I think I started it with my favorite trilogy, which is about Merlin, by Mary Stewart. It follows Merlin as a boy all the way through Arthur through actually a fourth book written as a follow up which is the collapse due to Mordred. It is written from Merlin's perspective, maybe even first person (I can't remember), which is pretty cool and a unique read. The trilogy is, I think, The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills, and The Last Enchantment. I can't remember the fourth, maybe something like The Wicked Day or something. The trilogy stands alone, and frankly they have ruined any other version of the Arthur legend for me. I liked them that much. I'd be interested to hear if I'm nuts or not, and whether anyone else liked them.

I think T.H. White has a pretty well respected series/trilogy of books on Arthur as well. I haven't read them, as I said, I feel I've read the definitive story by Stewart.
