I would go back in 1980's, probably circa 1983 or 1984 and tell eddie to stop smoking so he doesnt get toungue cancer, and not break up the band. But sammy and vh have some good songs. What would you go back in time for? Thats only in my opinion/

I would go back and invest in Microsoft at the first stock offering. I would bet all on super bowls, world series, Nba Finals, kentucky derby etc etc..

I would go back to 1984, tell Dave to forget the movie thing. Tell Ed and Dave to put out a live album and take the year off to let tensions ease.

Then I'd buy 100,000 shares of Microsoft, cash out in 1999. Buy MTV, lock the progamdirector in a barn with every "Real World" cast member and set it on fire. Then I'd start playing music 24/7 and if Britney Spears wants her videos played on the station she has to blow me.

I would go back to 1977 and catch Van Halen playing clubs. I would be their #1 fan and eventually marry Eddie. But I wouldn't be part of the band, because that never works out (Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham).

I'd go back and jam with The Doors.

Seriously, it would have to a combination of what Axeman and Lead Synth said. Plus I would marry Heather Thomas.

Being a history buff how about a trip ,circa 1836, to the Alamo and hand ol' Davy Crockett a damn M60 and a box of grenades. My choice though would actually be the late 60s early 70s......musclecars rule.

If I could go back in time at my current age I'd go to 1971 and become one of Eddie's friends. Then I would be able to meet the band, go to their shows, and party with them and some groupies.

I would love to go back to Mozart with Van Halen's first album and a discman with fresh batteries. I've always wondered what he would think of Eddie!

ok, I would go back to '82, and tell Randy not to go on that fuckin plane!!!

Or maybe I would go back to the late sixties..
think of it: Even though I'm not a fantastic guitarist for todays standards, I would have been brilliant back then!! I could introduce some great techniques !
