Yep...I'm back. Before Coulda & Brett jump all over this, let me say this. The Lakers have played some damn good ball. They have had better chemistry, a greater drive, and a far superior coach in comparison to their opponents in the playoffs. NO exuses. They deserve a ton of credit. (Doesn't mean I have to like them)

But the 76ers are a tough team (physically & mentally). Plus, unlike the Lakers previous opponents, they have great chemistry & the confidence to match it. We won't go into the matchups because that subject has been beaten into the ground in previous forums.

Go 76ers!

lakers in 4. for the reasons you mentioned. the NBA right now is more boring than the NHL. with the stacked team like the lakers, there's no excuse to lose. i don't think that the series will be even remotely exciting, which is a shame, because i've seen some damn good basketball games this season. I don't know how many games, but the Lakers will win.

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

Well, at least I'm still sane (uh... more or less )

The Lakers are a 2 man team. The 76'ers have had their best season in decades. There's no question who deserves to win more. I hope they do.

As much as I hate them, my prediction is that the Lakers will win in five. Sorry Sixers.

Hooligan,

Welcome back! I was beginning to think that you had joined the "I can't believe what the Lakers are making me witness" protection program. I noticed you didn't have a prediction on the series. I guess after guaranteeing that San Antonio would win the NBA Championship, you've learned your lesson.

I give Philly props for battling through all of their injuries and always playing extremely hard. Iverson is a tremendous competitor and a fine player. However, I just don't see how the Sixers can possibly muster up enough offense to be able to keep up with the Lakers. Iverson could average 35 points a game, and the Lakers might still sweep them.

As far as FORD's post, Brett took the words right out of my mouth. The Sixers are much closer to a one man team than the Lakers are to a two man team. That's the main reason that the Sixers have as much chance of beating the Lakers as Rosie O'Donnel has of being the next Playmate of the Month. The HORROR!!!
