Hey everyone~
Well in a week from today (March 28th) I'm heading to Las Vegas NV with some friends of mine. I've never been before. We're staying at Bally's on The Las Vegas Strip. Staying from Thursday March 28th to Tuesday April 2.

Any suggestions/recommendations as to any places to check out? Sights to see?

Are there any Linkers here from Las Vegas area?
Maybe we could meet up sometime while I'm in The City of Sin !!!!

I live in Vegas, and you're timing is perfect to see an Atomic Punks show. They're playing shows at Boulder Station on the 29th and 30th. This will be my 4th time to one of their shows. You will NOT be disappointed.

I really like Treasure Island and the Luxor. If you don't really want to be around kids stay away from Circus Circus.

As a frequent visitor or sin city I will make the following suggestions.

Hit all the new casino's atleast once, they really are spectacular. They is plenty to see and do in all of them.
• Aladdin • Bellagio • Caesars Palace
• Excalibur • Luxor • Mandalay Bay
• MGM Grand • The Mirage • Monte Carlo
• New York-New York • Paris Las Vegas
• Treasure Island • Venetian

Take advantage of the free trams that run between some of the larger casino's. You may think its not that far from the Monte Carlo to the Bellagio when in fact its a few miles. The hotels are so damm big it kinda screws up you ability to judge distance.
Personally I dont care for the North Strip, I find it cramped and run down. There isnt anything on the North strip that you cant find in the new strip. The slot machines pay out better on the North Strip however.

*99% of the cash machines in the casinos only give out $100 or more, they also charge $2 or $3 per transaction. If you can go to a store for cash.
*This time of year it gets a little chilly at night, bring a coat.

Now onto the good stuff --- STRIP CLUBS!!!
My personal Fav Olympic Gardens - All amazing looking women!! http://www.ogvegas.com/main.html

Wild J's - all nude, kinda small (pssst...ask for chastity)

Cheetahs - Quality entertainment!

Crazy Horse Too - Im not sure if its still open but I had a real goodly time.

* Avoid clip joints at all cost!!

This is a good link Best of LasVegas.

If you go into the MGM remember were you came in at its easy to get lost in there.

Sneak onto a elevator in the Luxor and go to the top floor, look out over the edge it will weird ya out.

The fountain show at the bellagio is pretty cool.

Avoid the aquarium at the Mandalay bay - its nothing special.

Any other question feel free to ask or e-mail me, I hit the strip 4 or 5 times a year.
Have a great time!!
((Just My Two Cents))
And thats about what its worth.

The Roller Coaster at Sahara is well worth it.

Ride the Big Shot (bungie ride at the top of the Stratsphere) at night, this is a must!!!!

Then, go to a sportsbook and bet your life savings on the Minnesota Twins winning the World Series!!!

Things I've done for fun in Las Vegas:

Got married - ELVIS sang!

Visited Hoover Dam

Played video poker

Walked the strip

Went to Red Rocks park the morning after a light snow

Watched the fountains at Bellagio

Played video poker

Drove up into Utah

Watched the ships battle at Treasure Island

Went to Tower Records and bought some CDs

Played video poker

Previewed "Cybil" for CBS (remember that show?)

Drove around blasting ZZ Top's "Viva Las Vegas" real loud!

Looked for the neon bone yard

Played video poker

Watched the Fremont Street Experience

Drove to Los Angeles

Slept through the start of a new year

Played video poker

Went to the Ethel M chocolate factory and visited the cactus garden

Drove around playing U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" real loud!

Watched the show in the middle of Sam's Town

Played video poker

Went through Death Valley

Posed for a picture by the "Welcome To Las Vegas" sign

Ate a lot of buffet food

Played video poker

Bought NASCAR collectibles at Smokey's

Had lunch with an uncle at Carrow's in Barstow

Played some other slot machines

And probably lots of stuff I've forgotten about...

Viva Las Vegas indeed!

BC,

If it is open, take some time out to see the Hoover Dam. It is worth it. I had heard since 9/11 that they may of closed it. I am not sure.

At the Rio they have a place called "Voodoo Lounge" that is outdoors on the 50th floor. It overlooks the whole strip. It is pretty cool.

You gotta check out the blown glass platters making up the ceiling at the Beliagio, in the lobby. Each one of those were made by hand.

Oh, and the hookers...

Your in Luck... The Atomic Punks are playing in LV on 3/29 at The Boulder Station in downtown LV. You must ck it out. There is a possibility that I may be there as well. TBA. I agree that the Rio is a great time too. If you like to eat, hit up the buffet at Balleys or the Mirage. A day of Hotel hopping is a must because they are all pretty amazing. If you have kids Circus Circus is the place. You will not run out of things to do in Vegas...Dont forget the House of Blues and Hard Rock Cafe while your there... God I need a Vegas fix...
VHWalkathon - Project 316

EVH: The music is first and foremost. That's the way it's always been and that's the way it will always be. Because without the music, what is there? Nothing. There's nothing without the music. You can't even cop an attitude without the music (laughs).

With all that information, you should become a resident

There is a really cool mall there, I think at Caesar's. I was amazed. Stay away from emergency rooms That's really all I got to see when I was there
