From Packers.Com:

Packers Acquire CB Harris, Trade WR Glenn In Separate Deals; Also Sign CB Westbrook

Active in the trade market, the Green Bay Packers acquire cornerback Al Harris from the Philadelphia Eagles and dealt wide receiver Terry Glenn to the Dallas Cowboys in two separate draft choice transactions and sign cornerback
Bryant Westbrook, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced Friday.

The Packers sent their second round choice in the 2003 NFL draft to Philadelphia for the 6-1 185-pound Harris, a five-year veteran, and the Eagles' fourth-round pick in the upcoming draft.

In the other transaction, the Packers
received an undisclosed selection from the Cowboys in the 2004 draft in exchange for Glenn.

What do all of you pack fans think?? I think it will help the team, with Driver and Ferguson stepping up, the receiver group was a bit thick. They need corners with Williams leaving, and Harris is good, he really didn't get a chance to start in Philly with the corners they have.

Who gives a fuck?
CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Chicago White Sox (1901-present) - The Original SOX - Proof

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

HEY! I gotta say its an exciting day in Packer land. Al Harris is a big move. that'll help a lot....now with Sharper and McKenzie already playin pro bowl caliber, Al Harris could make 'em one of the best secondaries around.

Terry Glenn leaving is alright...I thought he did pretty good...cleared the way for Driver if nothing else. They'll survive but I wish they got a little more than a 6th round draft pick for him.

Suprised the Tuna would trade for Terry Glen, especially the controversy between them here in New England (he referred to Glenn as "she"). Proabably just what Glenn needs is Tuna to kick him in the ass!

I like the Packers...mainly because fo Brett Favre. Regardless, Favre is turning into a Marino in the sense that he is a huge cap burden and he may not play the signifigant role in winning that he used to. The Pack may want to get something out of him while they still can.

nah, Favre is still one of the best around. he put up good numbers last year and he still has a hell of an arm. I wouldn't be opposed to the Pack drafting a future replacement...but don't trade him. he is gonna finish as a Packer.

No way, Brett is still one of the few guys that always gives you a chance to win. I didn't think about Glenn-Parcells, pretty interesting. Cowboys may have gotten a steal for a 6th-rounder.

As a Cowboy fan I think we got a hell of a deal getting Terry Glenn. Now if we can protect a quarterback long enough to throw to him...lol

AP,

I agree with you regarding Brett. Unlike Marino at this point in his career, Brett has several factors in his favor:

- a solid & stable leader at tailback

- a coach in his corner

- an arm that looks to have more juice left in the tank than Marino had

- an injury-free career (Marino sat out most of '93 with his Achilles tendon tear...)

I definitely think the Favre/Green team has the potential to match the Elway/Davis magic. There seems to be a similar dynamic there.

Of course, being in one of the NFL's sh*ttiest divisions doesn't hurt, either...

Isn't that what all teams should do?Get the most out of their players while they can.
the Bears will do worse, the Lions will still blow and the Vikings will be in 2nd place...make way for Green Bay!!! Sorry for the Cowboys (Glenn is just another headache waiting to happen.) He was fine in G.B. except he had the headaches way too much! Good move Green Bay

There are two teams in the NFL that are hated if you're not a fan of that team.

Dallas - The whole "America's Team" thing is bullshit.

Green Bay - After this season when Favre retires, this team will hit the crapper and become the doormat they were in the 80s.
