cant remember if this has been done before, but anyway...I'm sitting here watchin the old school Bugs Bunny Road Runner show with my kid and I swear I laugh more than she does!

    Some of my fav's:

    Bugs is King.

Wile E coyote (sp?). The ACME products are bitchin.

Wonder twins "Form of? ......something cooler than you normally pick!!"

    My fav though?

Foghorn Leghorn is the shit. Reminds me of me and my Dad. He's always tryin to school that little punk ass chicken hawk.

You know what I love, the old school Spider-Man cartoons. Not that new stuff where he's all buffed up like he's on the steroids. Back when I was a kid, Spidey was the real deal, easily my favorite cartoon. Peter Parker, J. Jonah Jameson, Miss Brant (the secretary, is that right?) and the villians like Dr. Octopus, and the Rhinocerous. There's more, but I haven't seen it for awhile. I love when Peter was in college and he'd be at the local hangout and they'd be dancing to the cheesiest porn like music.

And not to totally change the subject, the WB cartoons rule too. "I hates that rabbit".

Roadrunner/Coyote is one of my all time favorites.

I'm also a big Dexter's Laboratory fan. In 7th grade I had his voice down PERFECTLY.

My favorite cartoons as a kid were The Real Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I couldn't get enough. The show, the action figures, and movies.

Now THIS is a REAL topic!!

    I agree with Glenn...

Spiderman was/IS the real deal! I was majorly big into the superhero cartoons, especially Webs! I remember the Saturday AM shows like Superfriends, the Tarzan/Batman hour, the live action Shazam/Isis hour (Shazam RULED!), Speed Racer and even Jonny Quest.

As far as humorous stuff goes, no question in my mind. It's GOT to be Bugs Bunny and my personal fave, Daffy Duck! That frickin' duck represents me so well!! I love 90% of all the WB cartoon characters (ie: BB, DD, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, Road Runner and Coyote, Marvin the Martian and the XPJ-1 Space Modulator and Foghorn Leghorn).

These are what cartoons should be about! These cartoons had life and a sense of genuine-ness, not another stupid dragon/elf story.

I gotta give some props to Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp while I'm at it!! Stooges RULE!

There are soooooo many cartoons I have loved through the years, but there is an extra special place in my heart for the Flintstones. (I always hated that damn Pebbles and Bam Bam though! )

As for WB.....I gotta love 'em all, but Wile E. Coyote....Super Genius is my favorite. That guy has more tenacity than 10 Grinches, plus 2.

Somehow there is a poor showing here for Hanna Barbera in general, not to mention Walter Lantz.

(I'm a cartoon junkie; I should stay away from this thread before I go stark raving mad)

I am shocked, NAY, appalled no one here has mentioned the three cinomatic classics that are Transformers, Masters of the Universe, and Robotech.

These, truely, were cartoons that defined a generation.

You guys forgot Voltron...only the best giant robot/monster cartoon ever. Transformers, Thundercats, He-Man...all of these cartoons were the shit.

The WB cartoons were hilarious...the coyote and the roadrunner were good...the best one was the Michigian J. Frog Cartoon...you know, the one where the frog would only sing and dance for that one guy. "Hello my baby! Hello my honey! Hello my rag time gal!"

The greatest cartoon of all time though is:
    *drumroll*
    Space Ghost Coast to Coast

    ------------------
"Honey, arn't you gonna catch a cold dressed like that?" - Dave
"We're not in the music business, we're in the business of making music." - Edward
"I will never change because of a trend." - Yngwie J. Malmsteen
"Yeah, I saw a yard gnome once...it didn't scare me." - Space Ghost
