That's a great interview of Eddie from late 1979 that Brett has put up in the "Band Interviews" section. It's funny though, referring to Women and Children First, which they'd just completed, Eddie said all the songs on it were new.

GP: Did you use any songs from the original '78 tape?

    EVH: No.

    GP: All new ones?

EVH: Yeah. You know, It's weird: I like to be excited too. I think you'll kind of trip off the next album. It's hard rock.

That's funny, because Fools had been around since at least 1976, Loss of Control was around in 1977, both Take Your Whiskey Home and In A Simple Rhyme were from around 1974 or 1975, and I once read where Eddie said that And the Cradle Will Rock was something he and Al had been working on in the days when they used to rehearse in the Roth basement. And a part of Romeo Delight was taken from an early tune called Get the Show on the Road.

It's from Guitar Player magazine. The whole interview is in the new section called "Band Interviews" that can be accessed from the link in the red section on the left hand side of the Links.

is the link to the whole interviews section.

is the link to that specific interview.

It's a really cool, in depth interview on guitars etc, but that part about WACF is what really caught my eye.
