I remember seeing this Valerie Bertinelli show when Eddie was on, but that was 1993 so I don't remember it much. I know Eddie was on briefly, strolling in the restaurant playing guitar (acoustic, I think). Could you actually hear what he was playing? If so, what was he playing, anything recognizable?

Finish What You Started. I'm sure that's what it was, because I remember hearing it before seeing Edward. Its been a while though, so I'm not 100% sure!

Wasn't "Finish What Ya Started" also the theme song for her "Sydney" sitcom?

My wife and I laugh about the kiss of death I put on new shows. If I like a new show, it's probably going to get cancelled. I liked Sydney, and it got cancelled. This year I thought Stark Raving Mad was hilarious, and it got cancelled.

I don't think it's FWYS. I have that episode on tape somewhere, and I remember him just playing a couple of basic chords. Hell that part is only about 15-20 seconds long. Possible I'm wrong, but I don't think so. I will find the tape and get back to everyone. Out.

Their is a web site (VH of course) that I found through big bubba's VH pic page and it has the clip of Ed on Cafe American. Go to big bubba's VH page. go to picture page and click the link that say's something like "I borrowed some pics from this site so I'm returning the favor". Click the link and go to videos. It's the only video there. Hope this helps.

    http://vanhalen.strafford.com/

It's in the "video clips" section

Frankenstrat, thanks a lot. I put the link right above if anyone wants to check it out. Hopefully someone with better ears than me can pick out the tune. Doesn't sound like Finish What You Started to me. It sort of sounds a bit like the intro of Pleasure Dome. I'm curious to see if anyone agrees with me, or if I'm just hearing things.

Yep, I think you're right Glenn. It sounds like Pleasure Dome mixed with a bit of noodling. I should know better than to trust my memory!
