    3. Charvel for 1st tour in 1978 and Charvel for 2nd tour in 1979. Ed wasn't being paid for an endorsement and then he eventually was gonna sue Charvel for mass producing the rear-loaded black and yellow guitar. I could be wrong about the first one - it might be Kramer for the OU812 tour since Ed left there after finding out that guitars were being mass produced overseas instead of solely being produced in Neptune, NJ.

    I'm gonna say it was the Charvel on the VH2 tour because he wasn't being paid for an endorsement, yet his guitar was being mass produced as stated earlier. But I think the second time he did this was with his Music Man guitar on the later part of the Balance tour, because his deal with Ernie Ball was over.
