    SHAKA DOOBIE(THE LIMIT):
    "a good rocking tune"
LET SALLY DRIVE: "certainly not as good as i can't drive 55, but still a good song"
SERIOUS JUJU: "does sound like salvation on sand hill part 2, still a good song
THE MESSAGE: "does have a resemblence to right now"
DEEPER KINDA LOVE: "probably my second favorite song"
LITTLE BIT MORE: "found it to be lame"
TEN 13: "yikes! this is horrible"
PROTECTION: " it was said to be a libertarian anthem, and i agree"
3 MIDDLE: " another good rocking tune"
THE REAL DEAL: " only bluesy song"
TROPIC OF CAPRICORN: " deja vu all over again, still it is probably my favorite song"

all in all a good not great record. something that would be a good party album, not a life changing record, but i think that is the point. if i had this on CD the only songs i'd skip would be is a LITTLE BIT MORE and TEN 13.

I think the hard rocking tracks are the best: Shaka Doobie, Let Sally Drive, and 3 In The Middle. But I also like The Message and Deeper Kinda Love. Little Bit More is a ballad I always skip over and I don't care that much for The Real Deal. Protection, Serious JuJu, and Tropic Of Capricorn seem mediocre to me. That's just my honest review of Ten13.

You know, one beef I have with your view is the Tropic of Capricorn = Deja Vu. People keep saying this, and, well, it just isn't there. Listen to the songs back to back - they don't sound at all alike.

About the only thing you could use to come close to thinking that is the one line form Take Me Back - "Some desert island off Morocco."

listen to the guitar it is very similar STUFF.

you know the odd part didn't SAMMY want TAKE ME BACK(deja vu) left off BALANCE.

i could just see EDDIE cringing
at the lyrics to the song TEN 13. i could have seen some of the songs on a VH record.

To me, Take Me Back (deja-vu) and Tropic of Capricorn don't sound alike, but the vibe they give off is very similar. Both songs make you want to head south and find the sun.

Great album, but I don't like Protection. The intro of it reminds me of Dancing with Mr. D by the Rolling Stones.

Well it is a decent album. I think Serious Ju Ju and Tropic are great tunes. But the thing is, I bought the album a few weeks ahead of when I saw Sammy in January. Listened to it alot to get prepped for the show. Haven't listened to it much since
