With tours next summer expected from the Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, CSNY, the usual Ozzfest and the annual Dave Matthews Band, then throw in the long rumored Van Halen reunion, Will these bands all price themselves out and end up hurting eachother?

I bought tickets for CSNY on Monday and they ranged from $40.00 to $225.00!
Thats outrageous, but it made my wife happy. And now I have leverage when the reunion tour happens.

then throw in all the other bands and they will demand $50.00 to $250.00 per ticket. Who here can afford to go to 2 shows? not to mention just one.

Don't expect THE EAGLES next summer. Henley's been saying the album won't be ready 'til fall.

I've got tickets to CSNY as well. Don't worry, it'll be a great show. Neil Young is now the true boss of that band (got that straight out of David Crosby's mouth). They were expensive, but I didn't shell out for any $225 seats.

Next summer, it'll be FLEETWOOD and THE STONES for me. Fuck Dave Matthews. I hate him.

What about Van Halen?

I really believe that another summer WON'T go by without Van Halen playing live once again.

I hope that Neil Young is running things now, I hope that they play some of his classics.

That's why they invented credit cards Money - here today, gone later today. Back when I started going to shows in 1980, ticket prices were roughly the same as LP prices........just as well cds aren't $50+ these days

Of the shows you mentioned, I'll probably only go to see the Stones, and Ozzfest if Sabbath is headlining.

I just read today that what is now called GnR is going to play 2 more Las Vegas gigs at the end of the month. Triple digit ticket prices, for starters. Yeah, right!

Eddymon, I'm gonna move this over to Non-VH Music as there isn't really anything VH about it.
