Impossible.

There's no way it could be better than Van HALEN. Or even equal. Sammy & Mikey couldn't accomplish that with Eddie, they certainly can't without him.

Now better than Van Hagar... that's possible, if Slash does become involved and it becomes a guitar driven rock band, rather than a cheesefest, which is what Schon & Hagar have both become known for in the last 2 decades.

In any event, it probably won't be as bad as VDIII.

What if we listened to it with an open mind?

Going to send this thread to the Speculation forum to be continued there.

    I will.

Usually anything Neal Schon does is shit, with the exception of Santana.

Journey, Bad English, Hardline, HSAS.......all crap, so most likely this is going to be shit too. Who knows, I might be wrong, it might be decent.....but better than anything VH has done?

    I doubt it.

Tellya what, I'm lookin' forward to this(!) Long as the whole project doesn't implode under the weight of its own billing, I think there's a fair amount of ass-kicking potential, here.

Better than Van Halen? Well, what can I say that ain't been said? When FORD hits it, he hits it dead-on...

I could really give a rats ass about the opinions of certain people before the fact. Sounds like we're gonna have to wait a year to actually hear the whole album.

I personally don't think anything can be as good as Van Halen. Van Halen is the ultimate rock band and I can't see anyone topping that-just my 2 cents anyways. Since I became a Van Halen fan I can honestly say that a lot of bands have come and gone but no one gives me that same rush that Van Halen does.

No, it won't be better than Van Halen (what is?), but it would be awesome if it was better than Ten 13, one of Sammy's best solo albums IMO. If the songs are anything like the ones on Ten 13, I'm sure it'll be good.

I love Hardline, Journey, HSAS and Bad English, and I of course love VH with Sammy. So i'm going to love this band too i'm sure!

It probably won't be as good as VH, but it will be almost as good i'm sure with that incredible lineup.

    It's already better than VH3.

I can't imagine it being comparable to Classic VH, as nothing is.

Sammy-era VH is where I'm guessing this will stack up, musically.

    But it's all speculation.
