Guy's ever hear of Riot? REAL old band with more lineup changes than Spinal Tap...Anyway my buddy Mike is the singer. I always thought he had an amazing voice, check them out and tell me what you think. The songs are a little dated sounding but IMHO still wipe the floor with 95% of the stuff that we get now.

While your at it, give a good listen to my first guitar teacher....this guy can play his ass off.

Having trouble posting links to mp3's, if you like you can check more out here. Listen twice....it really grows on you.

4th singer... heh? What about changing gears and getting Ann Wilson from Heart? Of course, there would be a need to change the vocals on so many of the Dave-era tunes... Maybe the cat from Staind, Fred Durst?

Is that like, the cat from Staind AND Fred Durst, or do you think Durst is in Staind......or is he is Staind???? Fucked if I know, but either way get a grip man - I'd honestly rather never hear any more VH than hear 'em with either one of those dropkicks

that's the first time i think i've heard ann wilson's name come up. she'd be a hell of a canidate - plenty of attitude and experience.

jeff buckley would have been interesting, but he's dead. i'd like to hear sherryl crow guest on a track or two with them some day. i'd say doug pinnick from king's x, he'd fit in perfectly on vocals, but kind of awkward since he's a hell of a bassist too. wouldn't want to step on mikey's toes.

Hey man that band Riot kicks some serious ass. They have an awesome sound, but the singing doesn't quite live up to the intrumentals in some songs. Though, all things considered, this is my kind of band, considering I've never heard of them before. Thanks for the link.

I still think that Pat Benatar would kick some serious ass with Ed's playing.

If there has to be a 4th singer, I would like to see Cory Glover from Living Colour. Nancy Wilson would be cool too.

I have really thought about this alot, and the best I can come up with is the dude from Soundgarden, I think it's Chris Cornell or something. I think with his voice and range, he could sing anything from Dave or Sammy era, and smoke on some new stuff.

glover would be an intresting choice. but i think he's an actor now - maybe dave can go to him for tips on how to break into the biz

i can't see him hitting the sammy stuff 'tho - chris cornell could cover both, and would be awesome, but i know that's been passed around and shot down in the forums before.

The singer for Riot is pretty good. We used to cover"Hard Lovin Man" by Riot years back in a little jam band I was in. I don't think that he would be a good choice for VH though.
