There is no amount too great.....$100 would definitely get you in the building, but I wanna see Dave come off the riser upclose.

Yeah, money wouldn't be an issue for me. I was never able to see them with Roth. I plan to see them in Boston, Providence and Hartford if possible. And would pay whatever it takes.

$100.00 easy. Hard to put a price on it since, IF it happens, it will probably be the swan song for the band. I'd pay $300.00 without blinking an eye.

I think it depends on the venue. If it was in a stadium in which I knew I'd be so far away from the band I'd have to use a jumbotron to see them, I seriously doubt they could get even $100 out of me.

If I'm going to pay through the nose to see them, I sure as hell better be able to SEE THEM

It would be worth a lot, but since I'm not made of money, I hope they keep it reasonable. That $50 limit sounds good - $25 would be even better (hey, I can dream, can't I?)

I'd probably pay alot. It's a once in a lifetime thing, especially since I live in a place where they'd be unlikely to play twice. If you live in a major market, they might hit your town early and then late in the tour. Or you'd know they'd hit your town the next time (if there is a next time). Not here, so if it comes to town, I'm breaking the bank on this one.

Yesterday on the radio I heard one of our big promoters saying he had been to LA last week and been talking to CAA (which certainly pricked my ears up, given they seem to have something to do with VH's new management). I didnt like what I heard though - apparantly they told him Australia was considered a write off as a concert venue until the aussie dollar improves against the greenback - not viable, given its considered pretty poor form to ask $100+ in aussie dollars for a show. (U2 is about the only band who can get away with it)

If this is true its sad - but it should also be pointed out that most currencys are slipping in relation to the greenback at them moment. In our case noone even knows WHY, economically we are performing as well as we have for probably 20-30 years.

    Wait and see I guess

Scary thing is the "greenback" isn't even backed by any form of precious metal (don't buy into the "gold reserve" myth). All that's backing it is the US's promise it will continue to be worth something.

Odd thing, Goo, is that money seems to move irrelevantly when compared to economic performance. Hell, it's almost like people are polled of the street what form of cash they'd prefer.

Sucks for people trying to get tickets in Australia if that's true though.

As long as I'm still in radio, I hope to not pay ANYTHING! I hope to score some free tix...(cue the "you suck" chorus from stage left!)

Goo, maybe we can all pitch in and get you a flight to the US to join us for the party!
