Bored as well, but keyboards suck! I will say that they sucked more in VH though.

Keys are awesome in both VH and RUSH! Eddie fucking rules on guitar and keys. Geddy does too. You "fans" who say Eddie stopped creatively after '84 are on crack. Next to III I think Diver Down is the worst VH record ever although Secrets and Cathedral are nice.

Do you people(Dave Or The Grave) not listen to Skyscraper either? PUH! You are all on crack

Actually I take that back Diver Down has some fine moments it's WACF that is a fucking snoozer outside of Romeo Delight and Everybody Wants Some

    Take Your Whiskey, WACF, etc......

    Great Album!

Comparing WACF to III is just insane.

Some of Ed's bluesiest (read: tastiest) work to date.

EDDIE!!! I love Ed's keyboard playing, especially on Jump, Why Can't This Be Love, Mine All Mine and Feels So Good.

    Keyboards stink.

WACF is an amazing album! No other band could pull off a tune like Could This Be Magic?. And Dave is on fire throughout. Its actually a really bluesy album from start to finish if you listen.

    Love it!

The only times keys were cool in Van Halen is when they were put through a Marshall and sounded exactly like a guitar. ( "And The Cradle Will Rock")Jump, in my opinion is the weakest song on 84. And all those Sammy ballads...... That's what made all us "Dave or the grave" guys start smoking crack in the first place.

I am still trying to get into WACF but I still don't like it that much. It's been about 2 years since I bought the album and I still think it's not that great of an album. I really don't know who's "better" but I prefer Ed because he has really made some great keyboard lines. I like Geddy's keyboards too because his usually always fits the song like Subdivisions, Tom Sawyer, etc. Geddy and Ed have both said that they are terrible at keyboard.

Felt like rehashing old threads today, eh?

Um...WACF is one of their masterpieces, ace. Listen more often...although I never heard of WACF being an acquired taste. It's pretty much regulation issue Van Halen.

Yes, I wanted to get more material to talk about so I'm going to rehash old threads . It's been along time since I've listened to WACF but I think I'll try again right now.

I have to give it to Ged on this one. His work on "Subdivisions" alone makes him the Keymaster.
