As long as everyone is putting in their requests, I would love to see Billy Idol work with Eddie. The guy still sounds great. He had awesome songs with Steve Stevens. I know this is just what if. However, I think it would be an awesome pairing! Just imagine listening to White Wedding a 'la EVH and Panama a 'la Billy Idol. I know you guys will disagree and that is fine. But what about the Idol fans out there. What do you think just for BS's sake? Those of you who have kaaza, download Rebell Yell acoustic live. What a great song!

Yep, Billy Idol totally rocks. I saw him (and Steve Stevens!!) play last August in Philly. I had forgotten how many great songs he has: Cradle of Love, Hot in the City, Flesh for Fantasy, Blue Highway, Dancing With Myself...I could keep going. Eddie and Billy would be a match made in rock heaven. His Behind the Music was on VH1 the other day and it's amazing that Billy is still alive and still has a sense of humor.

    I'm with twonabomber on this.

I love Billy and Steves music as much as VH, but I dont think Idol would work with VH. Mainly because Billys voice is really deep, he's a crooner. I'm sure he could write some awesome new stuff with Ed, but I don't think the old stuff, Dave or Sammy eras, would sound right with his voice? I just can't imagine him singing Atomic Punk or Dreams for instance.

Lets keep Idol and Stevens together, they never should have split in the first place!

    Just my humble opinion.

Yeah!!! I'm still waiting for a new album from Billy and Steve. Does anybody know anything about it? Or it's just the same "no one knows" as with VH?
    Peace.

Billy Idol would be a great pick for a guest vocalist album. From what I understand, he and Edward are pals. In fact, in the Behind the Music episode there is a picture with Billy, Edward, Coverdale and one or two others in some club in LA partying it up. I think Billy cutting a track or two with Edward would kick ass. Also, did anyone notice in the Behind the Music episode where Steve Stevens is cutting it up with a EVH Wolfgang?

There was a rumor in 1985 before Sammy joined that Billy Idol was going to be the new singer when Dave left. I don't think Billy could sing either Dave or Sammy era tunes but I would like the idea of him as lead singer rather than Mitch Malloy.
