I have an idea for the fourth lead singer. It's a guy named David Lee Roth. You may have heard of him, he put out a really great VH style album in the mid-to-late 80s called "Eat 'Em and Smile."

For those who haven't looked, there seems to be a nice bright red Eddie clone guitar sitting in the lower right corner of the picture. I guess someone in that studio is a fan!

He's got a good voice. But that song sounds more like Sly and The Family Stone on hairspray. If this guy makes it I'm buying stock in lighter fluid.

But, in all seriousness, I can't stand it when people use "2" and "4" in song titles instead of "to" and "for". (OU812 notwithstanding, it's an album name)

"Again 2 B Found"?
"Road 2 4giveness"?

Learn to spell!!!

But this guy would probably have been better than Cherone. If VH picked him up, I'd buy the album.

I would rather have Bret Scallion, the lead singer of Fuel.

jesus christ. why doesn't somebody just suggest the guy from stryper to be singer number 4? both dave and sammy have an attitude that comes across in their vocal delivery. this guy belongs on a lite rock cd. (no offense to anyone)

Agreed. This guy blows huge chunks of steaming vocal sewage. Eddie's an alcoholic. He's not on prozac, which is what it takes to buy into this syrupy "grew up too close to mommy" saccharine.

I'm fine with anyone taking offense to that. VH belongs in the pantheon with the likes of the Stones, the Who, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, etc., not lumped in with the likes of Foreigner, Journey, Slaughter, etc.

Jeff can definitely sing, but it looks like he has wussed out quite a bit since his Yngwie days. (He was the singer on YJM's Rising Force projects.)

He does sound good doing VH material though. You can check him out on "Little Guitars, A Tribute" doing "So this is love" with Blues Sacraceno, Tony Franklin and Eric Singer.

By the way, I also understand that he and Gary are pretty good freinds, so I doubt he'd even take te gig at this point if it were offered.

Throw Chris Cornell's name in the hat then if we are petioting for a 4th singer. He could handle all 3 eras of the band.

I liked the Cornell idea (can you imagine those pipes on the likes of Runnin w/ the Devil/ Unchained et al!? Whoa!), but that was when the
RATM thing looked like it it wasn't going to happen. They have apparently reconciled so the pool of namebrand viable singers is ever so shallow. In reality who could assume the mantle
of a fourth singer? I can scarcely think of any
who are worth a shit/feasible. Any ideas, anyone?
And no cheese pleeze (i.e. Soto/Neil/Hagar/etc).

I got to tell you some of it was Survivor meets Journey but I do think the guy could cover both eras. He actually sounded like he could cover the Roth era a little better. He does have a good voice. Now all you got to do is get Eddie to try him out. I also think that the right 4th singer could be the best thing overall. Wish these guys would get off the can already and do something.
