who has seen both thusfar?

the sam/dave tour was fun. but i'd give the nod to the III tour. it was gary singing, but i still got to see ed, al, and mike. there's something very special about seeing those guys on stage together

Dude, you know what a troll is? JMJ's been here over 2 years.

Anyway, I think this topic would fit better in Opinions/Speculation since it deals more with comparing two tours than it does with the present one, in particular.

Right on Brother! Why is it such taboo to like anything related to Cherone???

I liked all three versions!

I think the Cherone tour was great!
- Mean Streets
- Somebody Get Me a Doctor
- Mike, Ed and Gary all singing verses of WCTBL
- Year to the Day/Eruption (I've seen VH with Dave, Sam and Gary and this was my favorite solo.
- Romeo Delight

Sam and Dave were great! Everybody has their opinions but I'm happy with any version of VH I can get - I'm addicted!

There's just something more exciting seeing Al, Mike, and Ed play than Dave and Sam by themselves.

BTW, JMJ may be a lot of things, but a troll he ain't.

This fits nicely next to my thread entitled "enuf is enuf.." I figure 100% of VH is really 5 members, listed in no particular priority, ed, al, mikey, sammy & dave. I figure each member is worth about 20% of VH.

I calculate the Sammy & Dave tour, including Mikey easily equals 60% of VH. (20% x 3)

For VHIII, I again figure 20% x 3, but then gotta deduct something for gary's participation, concluding that the Sammy & Dave Tour the better VH experience.

I enjoyed the Sam and Dave show more. Yeah, I liked seeing the brothers and Mike play, no doubt. But I remember being very frustrated watching that show.

I would go as far as to say, I even liked the solo Hagar and Roth tours better than the VH with Cherone tour.

Maybe I am the "troll" ??
