The guitar riff during the breakdown in "On Fire" is still my choice for best all-time rock n roll riff. Pure genius, executed economically.

And he "borrowed" the post chorus riff on In a Simple Rhyme straight from the Who. Not very "creative". Lot's more to pick from. I'll take Mean Street, Unchained, Could This Be Magic, Dreams, and Right Now. And a ton of other tunes.

Eddie "borrowed" that power drill bit from Paul Gilbert of Racer X. No big deal I guess, people have been stealing from Eddie too.
Everytime I hear someone say this it makes my left eye twitch....
True...Paul Gilbert used a drill, as well as bassist Billy Sheehan...they placed a pick on the end of a drill bit and used it to speed pick their way through dualing solos...
Ed never used the drill in this way at all...he just used the bleed over from the electric motor to get a very cool sound from his guitar...which Gilbert and Sheehan never did...its not even close to being the same...so quit implying it is!!!
I love paul Gilbert too...from his racer X stuff through Mr Big....he's incredible...I wish Mr Big would reunite and tour...I met Sheehan and Gilbert back in Cincy in the late 80's...they were great...and an amazing band...
    anyway,,thats all I have
