If DLR is back recording with VH (hoping and praying). What kind of album will we hear?

Do you think it to be produced like the early days - essentially live with few overdubs, or will it be a slick production job?

Personally I want it to sound like the first six albums production-wise, DLR went this route on the DLR Band album, and it worked a treat - totally suited the songs.

I hope WB aren't putting any pressure on the band to make a commercial sounding record to
    gaurantee major unit sales.

All I hope is that they stay true to their own spirit and the spirit of the songs. Whatever production direction that warrants is fine by me. These four guys have one hell of a track record for making earth shaking music, so they don't need to be listening to record execs, critics, the charts, MTV or even us fans. I trust their instincts and I believe they'll put together an amazing album.

Well Glenn pretty much nailed it. I mean those guys could put out a polka record and it would have VAN HALEN all over it.

Btw Ed,Al,Mikey and Dave, don't put out a polka record. LOL. Out

I just hope it's not overproduced like the recent records. I hope it's somethin' in the vain of "Me Wise Magic" "Can't Get This Stuff No More" or "Human Beings". IMO, those were the best sounding Van Halen songs since the 1984.

They could always put another CD in the box set and put all of their unreleased polka stuff on there.
