Hello, i'm a big VH fan from Holland, and for about a hole fucking year we haven't heard anything new about VH. I think it's time that the boys from VH give us a break and let us know what is going on and what we can expect from them in the near future. I mean what are they trying to do to all of us, making our minds mad or something, just give us what we all want MUSIC, new stuff so we can explode our ears. Come on give us a fucking break, and start bringing out music again, no remasters (Can't get them overhere in Holland) but really new stuff, hopefully with Dave back on the stearingwheel, otherwise.....whatever, give me back my VH music.

No,i'm not offended by the song Amsterdam topic killer, why should i. It's just a good song, but I don't think it's a classic one, they have better songs, especialy the DLR era songs. Hope it will be back soon that era!!!!!

Patience is certainly required to be a Van Halen fan.

    Thank you very much Glenn.
I know i should be patience but aren't we forgetting something, i mean we fans have make VH for what they are today, the greatest rock band there'll ever be, but can the boys from VH give us fans something to hold on, a official statement that everything is allright, at least give us a date, something we can look out too.

Ed And Al Are Dutch, while it's obviously money combined that has paid for the bands lifestyle, it's actually their talent that got them where they are. I don't believe they owe me anything here. I haven't shelled out any money for the new album, what business is it of mine when it comes out? Now, if I'd pre-ordered it and paid upfront, then I could see saying that I'm owed an explanation or a release date, but that's not the case.

Another thing I've been thinking about. I've tried to remember all of the official VH things I've bought over the years, and to put a dollar figure on it.

    Remasters $90
Previous CD's, LPs, tapes, etc is probably several hundred dollars
concert tickets-only seen them twice so about $200

So judging from those numbers, while I'm sure my (approximately) $600 helped, I can hardly say that I paid for Ed's Ferrari, or the 5150 studio, or anything else. I bought it by choice, no strings attached, and I haven't been disappointed. On the contrary, I've spent my money and gotten in return a lifetime of amazing music to listen to. Not only do I NOT feel that they owe me anything, I feel like I owe THEM a thank you.

You got a point there Glenn, but isn't it so that if all the fans stop buying records, cd's, videos and concert tickets, Edward will be soon driving a much and much smaller car, and will have to make sure that he has enough money in the bank to pay the bills, otherwise he can start all over again.

Sure I'm very lucky that they have gave us there music, i can't live without it, but at least give us something, it has been a hole year of nothing from them.

I see your point, but I just think that eventually it's too much to expect of someone. I'd love to know what's going on in 5150 too, but if I met Edward tomorrow I wouldn't for one second try to pry out of him who his singer is. I'd just thank him, compliment him on his talent, and then leave him alone. He's a human being who just happens to play music, he isn't a machine who can be expected to deliver product on our schedule. Art isn't like that. Now VH could certainly do alot more to stay on radar, but that's just not their way in down times.

Your point above is well taken, and if Eddie wasn't aware of the fans power before, I'm sure he is after the relative sales failure of both the III album and the tour. I really don't feel disrespected by Eddie, because I believe he's an artist chasing after the "lost chord". And he shouldn't (in my opinion) waste his time worrying about whether I'm going to accept what he creates. On some level, Eddie's creation has to be selfish, and then when he lets it out, I can choose whether or not I accept it, or whether the year (or more) I waited was worth it or not.

Well put Glenn. I like to think of it as Ed having made music for himself, that millions of other people just happen to like too. It's a bonus for him.

Judging from these numbers they probably only got $250 of your money, with the rest of the $600 headed to WB.

Hell, I'll admit VH has probably only gotten $19 of all the money I've spent on their albums.

To mister 1984, listen up dude, why depressed because someone has seen them only twice, i have seen VH only one time, this is because i live in Holland, and they don't come here quit as often then where you are living in the USA

To Glenn, i'm not trying to assult Ed in any way, If i had a change to meet this Guitar God, i wouldn't asked him about what is going on right now with VH, i just asked him how he's doing, and if he is happy, and will thank him for shareing his wunderfull musical creations with us.

But still i'm tired of waiting
