Ok... if you guys could pick a singer from any band to join VH, besides Sammy, Dave, or Gary.... who would it be??

I would have to say Roger Waters, imagine the fans that they would have. Pink Floyd meets Vh... wow.

Since it's pretty much a fantasy question, I'll pick someone who is, unfortunately, no longer with us. I'll pick Freddie Mercury.

I'll have to go with Unchained Wolfie's response.... Me!

Honestly, I'd say..... Robert Plant?? I don't know. That's pretty tough.

Like we have stated, "Fantasy Question". I would take Sting. Great vocal range, and killer lyrics. Out

Man this is FLAME BAIT don't ya think ??
Freddie Mercury is great but Van Halen is not no QUEEN , Freddie's style just would not jive with VH IMO . I would have to go with Vince Neil , and I will explain why .

Vince is not a great vocalist IMO but he would fit in VH like Sam did , I feel Gary was too eccentric for Van Halen . Vince has the blond hair , party animal charisma about him and I feel thats what Van Halen fans are used to . No don't slam me FORD or anyone else , I feel like Dave or the Grave is the choice before them but I feel a Vince Neil would fit and could work out . I don't know ???

JMJ - my answer exactly. To choose ANY singer, it would have to be Geoff Tate. His voice, VH music - now THAT would be something.

    Ray Gillan (R.I.P.)

He had a hell of a voice. Briefly played with Black Sabbath. Then went on with Badlands and George Lynch's solo album. But all in all, we need DLR.

I wonder how Ian Gillian would work? No one mention Coverdale since I mentioned Gillian now please.

hey bizzatch, GREAT choice! I think Edwin would be excellent. His new CD is awesome. Well not "new" but recent.

    yeh thank's swinger

I kinda think he would fit the Van Halen swagger. (I've heard he has a big ego)

Plus no one would accuse him of being gay, he's young, has a great vocal range, and he showed flexibility when he made that album with Alex Lifeson of Rush.

If Edwin had been singer #3 I think Van Halen would have been more successful...at least here in canada forsure..hehe...they might have gotten even bigger in canada actually
