OK, thanks to Lead Synth, I've opened this thread. She brought it to my attention that the saw has "5150" on it. Something I completely missed lastnight when I closed this topic. Sorry for the oversight guys.

I've always wondered if Eddie and Co. have a copyright on the number 5150 itself. I mean, obviously you can't patent a NUMBER as in an AMOUNT, but maybe they have some patent on the number used as a trademark. Of course I don't have a clue what I'm talking about. Any thoughts?

Well the amp name "5150" is obviously trademarked, so it can be done in some fashion.

The amp name might be trademarked in some fashion, however, I know that many of you know where the code "5150" comes from.

I almost bought this saw just for the name! But it was a good bit more than I wanted to pay for a circular saw. I opted for the Black & Decker "WoodHawk".

Well see, the problem with copyrighting 5150 is all the changes things would go through.

I mean, suppose your phone number is 851-5097. Sorry, you need a new phone number because it has 5150 in it.

Or what about the business that operates on 5150 7th Street. Sorry, we need to tear the building down because the address is 5150.

And don't even get my started on people born on May 15th, 2000. They just all need to be killed right now to protect the integrity of the copyright.

That file you have on your computer that is 5,150 K big? Delete the sucker before the VH Police find out!

Better not write a document that is 5150 lines long.

And I hope no one has a card that ever registers the milage 5150 - off to the junk yard with it!

Whatever thread on this board has the code 005150 needs to be closed and deleted before Brett is forced to close the links because of it.

And what if your IP address ends is XXX.X5.150? Disconnect from the internet now or blow your computer up!

Everything marked $5149.99 needs to be taken off the shelves as we speak.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 5150 is the LA County Sheriff's Office, code for a "Criminally Insane" suspect they are bringing in. As in: "We've got a 5150 in route..."

Brett you're from LA area, is this correct?

On a sidenote: My girfriend is an EMT here in Rochester NY and the Rochester equivalent for a 5150, is a 1078.

I often have thought about starting a VH Tribut band here in Rochester and naming it 1078. But that may be too obscure of a reference to the might Van Halen

    any thoughts?
