    Hi there

To be honest, I thought VHIII was a pretty good record. Although 'Fire in the hole', 'Ballot or the bullet' & 'How many say I' are absolutely crap

    greetings

I agree, except I don't mind listening to How Many Say I. I find it kinda funny.

i think you're dead on. but VH was mismanaged at a time when the general public wouldn't automatically snatch up a rock n roll album. that, plus a lot of dave and sam loyalists who were pissed that their guy wasn't in the band kind of sunk the album. sure there's flaws on it: lack of bass and gary screeching a few times too many, but there's spots on every VH album that bug me sometimes. i still love 'em all.

hey, i think it is even better than pretty good. i think "fire" is ok, with the other two being awful. However, every band that i have ever heard has included awful stuff on their albums. I assume it is caused by 1. deadline pressures and 2.differing opinions by everyone asto what are good and not good songs. I think "without you" and "one i want" are great songs. yes..great! listen to those linear bass lines by michael in "one" and "without you". these are tunes that keep growing on me nearly five years later. thanks for your opinion, makes the world go round.

A Year To The Day is one of Eddie's best perfomance's in my opinion. I think that someday we'll hear some of the songs that would have been on the second Cherone album. With all of the unreleased VH material laying around we'll get a box set of stuff sooner or later.
