Do most of us have Irish in our gene pool? Sometimes reading these posts I get the feeling that we tend to think that the band is OURS...like the guy in "Braveheart" who was from Ireland and he believed that it was HIS island.
I've been with this band since day one and even though it's considered a joke ...I still love them f*ckerz...

I have Irish in my gene pool too! Van Halen will always be the best band to me, whether they record anything else in the future or not.

I have a tiny bit of Irish in me but mostly I'm half Italian. So to me, Van Halen is like on of the family. You mess with them, you mess with the whole family.

Ummm I am 100% Irish.

So what are you saying??? The guy saying Ireland was his island in the movie was joking...and no, it's not my band...VH pretty much has sucked for a long time anyway, so why would I claim it????...but the future is still possible....for VH to kick ass, if they get on David Lee Roth back where he rightfully belongs... I've got like three drops of Irish in me (actually, more like 25%). I think it's more human nature to become possessive of something that has brought you a lot of joy and that you grew up with over the years.

Honestly, why do you think things like GI Joe vs Cobra, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, and Masters of the Universe are all making a strong comeback? People my age remember fondly those toy lines growing up and want to see more of them.

The pessimist says the cup is half empty. The optimist says it's half full. The pragmatist says its liquid contents are at 50% capacity. The ironist says its half full of air. The plumber says the cup must be leaking. George Carlin says the cup is too big. The Starbucks employee says its so you have room for cream. The conspiracy theorist says aliens took the other half. The baseball player says his cup is definitely full. MacGuyver says he can build a powerful explosive with it. The psychoanalyst says the cup is your mother. The punk sitting next to you also says the cup is your mother. The romance novelist says the cup is a willing receptacle to the wild gushing torrents of pure passion from the hard chiseled urn. The zen master says There is no cup. Pamela Anderson says her cups are definitely full. Me? Refill!
