$125 a ticket?!? Damn! Hell, you'd think if they charged that much they would be almost in the poor house. Of course, knowing me, I'd pay anyway since I was forced to pass on the last two tours.

I think ( I hope) $125.00 was just speculation based on what The Who did this year. I understand the tickets were $150.00. I hope VH won't do that to their fans....I think its shitty.

I'd pay anything to see the original lineup, even if it was $1,000

I would doubt (and hope) that Van Halen wouldn't try to saddle us with hundred dollar tickets to the shows. When I saw the Stones on the Bridges to Babylon tour the tickets (though they weren't great seats) were around $65 each.

Does anyone around here have a job that doesn't consist of flipping burgers or washing cars (judging by all the Net surfing, the answer is probably no)?!?! Even at $125 that's peanuts! I would easily pay up to around $300 a ticket before I started complaining!

I'm not looking for these guys to get together and then do the fans the extra added favor of making tickets dirt cheap (you get your money's worth on that kind deal, see Pearl Jam for more info).

After all, all the divorces, therapy, medical expenses, on top of the touring must cost a fortune. For me, the only thing they owe the fans is getting back together... after that, it's up to the fans to foot the bill. With concert shirts and paraphrenalia, parking, bevarages, food, whatever, I'm already budgeting $1000 for the greatest rocknroll reunion in history (already spent $70 on remasters!)...

So if all you fans start saving now, you won't have anything to worry about when it comes time to ante up! And for all you people that live in the middle of nowhere, start saving now for transporation too, because you got no reason to complain when VH doesn't play your 40 seat County Hall!

    out.

I can well afford $125.00 and would pay whatever I need to, but I was just saying that I don't think they (or any band) should do that. I'm sure they will sell the seats no matter what they charge, so business-wise they may say... why not? But, I know there are some fans that may not be able to do this comfortably, (like maybe they won't eat that week.) I think it will definately alienate lots of younger fans, if that is an audience they are trying to capture.

I payed $50 (rounding up) for excellent seats to see Def Leppard this past summer, which probably means $65 isn't that unreasonable a price to expect them to charge for the tour.

Honestly, it's not like VH hasn't been touring all these years either under the name of Van Halen or David Lee Roth, and I doubt they'll be hard-up for money.

The nazi bastards that Ticketmaster are will probably add a $30 surcharge to it just to make a boatload off of the starved fans that will flock to the show

I'll pay whatever they're asking for. Or I'll win the tickets from a radio station. But I really don't think they'd charge that much. They've never done that before, why would they start now?

the playboy article was just a viewpoint of the writer.

i see that he hated gary cherone, but he lost all credibility (sp?) when he suggested that ed and gary had split because of hating each other. ed still loves gary.
