Let's say the Sam and Dave tour gets rolling this summer. It's a dual headliner set, with their solo bands, meaning no Planet Us. What size venue does this play. Is this a tweener tour (meaning bigger than clubs, but smaller than arenas around 3,000-7,000), or is it a legitmate arena tour? Does 1+1=3? If Hagar and Roth would normally sell 3,000-5,000 tickets each, does this mean they can sell 15,000 together?

Hard to say... if Dave is headlining, then they'd undoubtedly play STADIUM shows, but if Sam is headlining, I think ARENAS are more likely.

P.S. If Gary is the opening act, all bets are off because they'll be playing STATE FAIRS.

Considering the bill will bring in:

Roth fans
Hagar fans
WWF wrestling fans (or anyone else who enjoys fighting on stage), it should be arena worthy.

Saaaaay... that makes me consider some potentially great "Celebrity Boxing II" matches!

There's a really good Lance 'n' Garth cartoon in that scenario somewhere...

I'll prove to you right now that I've learned from your example of avoidance.

I think with the both of them on the same bill, they could play the ampitheaters without a problem. Stadiums? Very doubtfull, unless there is another VERY big name to the bill.

Awww... I'd go see them if Gary opened for 'em!

I'll see 'em anyway, but how hysterical The Sans Van Halen tour... all lead singers, no dutchmen! Talk about in your face rock...

Let's just hope this is a REAL tour, not one of Dave's "I'll play places like Bumfuck, IA and avoid real markets" kind of tour. I would like to see him still someday.

If they do tour, hopefully they'll hit some venues and cities both have avoided in their past couple tours.
