...if Ed does an "all-star" record with many different singers...I hope he doesn't get that Matchbox Twenty dude...

I gotta disagree, Lesbosandwich (great username). I happen to be a fan of Matchbox Twenty and I think Rob Thomas would be okay as long as the music fits. As we know, not everyone can sing to what Eddie plays.

Personally, I don't want to see an "All-Star" album, but if it gets new music out there I would support it.

Here's my tracklisting for an "all-star" record by Ed, Al, and Mike ...
    My #1 pick would be
    Chris Cornell
    then
    Doug Pinnick
    then
    Maynard
Keith Richards (not Mick...that would be the obvious choice)
    A blues tune with BB
a re-make of "The Curly Shuffle" w/ The Jump In The Saddle Gang
James Hetfield re-doing "Warrior" by Thin Lizzy
A rock version of "Gangsta Gangsta" (NWA) w/ Snoop D-O-double G subbing for Eazy
    Paul Stanley
    Robbin Zander
Shania Twain (she can also be part of the artwork for the cover)
    Lemmy
    Robert Plant
A remake of the old Joe Perry Project tune "Buzz Buzz" w/ Joe "MuthaF*ckin'" Perry singin'
and the dude that sings for the Hellacopters.

LOL, I think you mean David Gilmour. Doug Gilmour the hockey player would be... an interesting fit in Van Halen though.

I swear to God I had this one chick, this chick was poundin' on my door, she was kickin' and screamin' at my door 'til about 6:30 this morning. Finally, I just said, 'Fuck it!' and let her out of my room!" - David Lee Roth
