I doubt it
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

I'm sure we will in one form or another. Might not know which three they were until a guitar world interview or somthing, but I'm sure we will hear the music eventually no matter who ends up singing.

If we ever (yeah, right ) get a new album of songs, it'll be interesting to speculate from hearing them which, if any, are from that initial writing session.

That said, I'm gonna send this to the Speculation forum.

Yeah right. Back when the news first broke about them doing the 3 songs with Dave, Eddie was asked if those songs would ever be released and his response was "Probably not". Of course Eddie, we wouldn't expect anything less from you. The LAST thing you do anymore is give the fans something they might actually want ...

Good question. At this point, I can't even speculate. My brain has been Van Halen-fried.

After all this time, I'd say the likelihood of the band releasing the songs is pretty slim. We may get maybe one of them later (with Dave or a new vocalist and I guarantee you, new lyrics). Even if the original line-up does get back in the studio and record an album, I think that too much time will have passed and the new songs may sound out of synch with the summer '00 recordings. Eddie couldn't have been too big on them if he said, "Probably not." Plus, if the music were something that the band were overjoyed about, wouldn't they have made a bigger effort to get past all the legal hubbub to finish recording?

Eddie's probably so damn insecure about his music right now that he will want to start from scratch.

Still, they'll be released one day. Either with the reunion or on some archive box set in 2010!!

I'd wager that we'll only hear that, as well as a number of things, if Glenn's much sought after Van Halen Boxed Set ever comes out.

Other than that, flat chance they'll show up. They'd have to get their act together with Roth first, and we all know that's never going to happen.

ďAnd what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever Ė that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both Ė thatís intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.Ē - David Lee Roth

When did you become the expert? I think it's a greater likelihood of that than a Hagar reunion. I think at this point, both the fans and the band would prefer a Roth reunion (Lord knows Sammy doesn't really want to come back). I think Eddie still holds some negative feelings toward Hagar and he doesn't seem to have anything bad to say about Roth anymore. Even at the end of '96, he spoke of Roth with at least a little respect and admitted that "I love the guy," but he's had nothing positive to say about Hagar in years. The band also proved that they will not ignore the Roth-era on the III Tour, but they played only a few Hagar numbers.

I'm not saying a Roth-reunion is a definite, but the majority of VH fans, the media and even the band's actions seem to point to it as the way to go and there doesn't seem much interest in a Hagar reunion.
