How would that collaboration sound? I think it would freakin rock!!!!!!!! The only thing is, Eddie and Ozzy would be a bad influence on each other. It would be hard for them both to stay sober. I'd rather hear them do a CD with Ozzy then nothing at all!

Didn't you PD sheep exhaust the entire list of ridiculous suggestions for lead singers back at the Dump?

Ozzy is THE singer for Black Sabbath.

Dave is THE singer for Van Halen.

See how that works?

Glenn, since you have access to IP addys on this board and I don't, feel free to check it out for yourself. Watch all the stupid ass threads that get started on this board as long as the Dump is out of commission, and I guarantee you most of them will be coming from the same source. Maybe you find threads like "Boy George would fucking rock in Van Halen" amusing, but the shit gets old after a while, ya know? Just trying to spare you guys some headaches, because I respect this board and don't want to see it reduced to Pasture Dump II just because $tark$ pussied out and left all these sheep orphaned.

Hey FORD - since you're the be-all and end-all of all discussion about Van Halen, and apparently have seen all these threads before, I suggest you do the following:

Read the title of the thread. If it implies something you don't like, or the topic is one that you, in your all knowing been there done that existence, have already seen enough of, DON'T GO IN THE FUCKING THREAD.

There, now you won't have to deal with any sheep, Dump refugees or otherwise!

Every one can have an opinion, you are a fucking broken record. You're just getting your thrills flaming others, and it sucks.

Oh, and as I've said before, never done the Dome, so I guess I'm a new sheep. You need to factor that in somehow with some new material.

At least Butch from the Cape had some decent insights once in a while, RIP.

Freaky dark Ozzy? The one with the whiny voice? Why not just take a big ol' rusty dagger and plunge it into the heart of VH?

Everyone has their right to their own opinion...Ford and Glenn and Incredible Edible Dude stated theirs! So, what's the problem?
Ozzy would not be a good VH singer.
Dave would be the best for millions of reason$.
Sammy would be okay for a while but, I think DLR would get along better with the band better than Sammy at this point. A tour or 4 with DLR would blow the public away and make us all happy.
If anyone thinks my post is stupid then fine!
Here is something stupid: STEVE VAI should be the lead singer of Van Halen....LOL
Just go for it!

Ford,

I can understand where you are coming from, as you've been posting here a long time. I have seen these ridiculous threads at the PD as well and I think most of them are stupid, but what else is there to talk about? These guys gotta amuse themselves somehow and if they joined 2 months ago like I did, they may not know about every "how about big bird as the lead singer" thread the way you do. It's getting to the point that there is nothing else left to say until VH gives us some news. I may be leaving for a while.

It's just a speculation as to what it might sound like. I didn't read the initial post in this thread as any delusional "I think Ozzy might be in VH" type of sentiment.

And I think it's bullshit for you to throw names around at people because they started a thread like this. You don't like the thread, fine, ignore it. It's called taking the high road, and it's a pretty simple concept.

Eddie Van Halen
Alex Van Halen
Wolfie Van Halen
Valerie Bertinelli
Bonnie Franklin
Schneider
The little gay kid (what was his name?)
Mackenzie Phillips
Michelle Phillips
John Phillips (But only because he's dead)
Chynna Phillips (though I could at least look at that on stage, if not listen to it)
Carnie Wilson
Brian Wilson
Dennis Wilson (see John Phillips)
Carl Wilson (ditto)
OJ Simpson
Sean Piddly Diddly Combs
Kid Rock
Sammy Hagar
Gary Cherone

Funny how that thread was started by a fellow 'Dave or the Grave' fan, so you had fun and played along. You belittle Evhesq for starting this topic, but you play along with WARF for starting that topic, why's that???

This was an opinion topic not a rumor topic, therefore I don't see why there is even a argument. Nobody is rumoring that Ozzy will sing for VH, just making a comment about what the collaboration would sound like. Geez.

I doubt Ozzie would be a good match long term with Vh, in the studio or live. The guys are much more active than Ozzy on stage, unless you count his jumping jacks and hand claps, but that's just Ozzie. It would be great to hear Ozzie sing against the VH backdrop for a song, and it would be great for them to work with someone different that they would have to work with to make the songs fit his range, as well as sound cool with his singing style. Hopefully, if they work with Dave again, they will work together to make the music and his voice complement each other and get the best out of each other. Tune down to his singing range, and whip out some killer riffs. There's room on a new cd for 2 or 3 tunes that stray from the main recipe, but make it rock, and it will all be good. Back to topic, hell, I'd like to hear any musical combination between any 2 legends.
John 3:16, Can You Dig It?

People, the 6 wings of the Mighty Van Halen will fly again! Can You Dig It?

You gotta give more than you take! Can You Dig it?

And underneath the arch, it turned into a march,
and there He found a spark to set this fucker off!
Set it off, set it off now children, set if off!

We are down the road! I Can Dig It! Can You?
