I recently just bought tickets for U2, tickets were priced from $45-$130, got me thinking about what VH tickets are going to be priced at , I am thinking anywhere from $45-85bucks. I hope that they do not go the route of some bands like the Stones -Eagles with ungodly high prices .
I hope, plan to see vh several times so I hope that they can keep prices down somewhat. At any rate though I will be looking for the best seat i can get.

This triple digit ticket pricing is ridiculous. As hard as it was, I forced myself to pass on the U2 show this tour. I just can't support this kind of greed, especially from a band who once said "The God I believe in isn't short of cash, mister!"

I paid $60 to see U2 in 1997 and I was 10 feet from Bono & The Edge the entire show. I can't see the logic in paying twice that to be seated farther away from the stage.

I hope to fuck Van HALEN doesn't go along with this trend when they finally get this tour running. Garth Brooks isn't exactly standing in line at soup kitchens and he sold out a 3 year tour with $25 ticket prices. U2 could have easily done the same, as could Van HALEN.

I am not a huge fan of U2 but I own a few albums and wanted to see them live. Sure I would pay 45 for lawn seats at an outdoor venue, but I won't pay 45 to sit in the nosebleeds....and I sure as hell am not paying 130 for U2. They completely priced this casual fan out of that show. I really hope VH has more class then this.

Now for great seats to the reunion tour I will shell out my life savings and go on food stamps But seriously, if they get a really good opening act like say STP....I think topping out at 65-80 would be reasonable.

They name the price and I will pay it if it means seeing them or not.

Given the best general venues around here (or should I say the one used most often), chances are VH would either be playing in the Firstar Center or Riverbend (I'd prefer the latter - they've done the past few tours there). Now, given the assuption of the latter, I'd say if they didn't want to bend us over and give it to us up the rear $60 is about the most they could charge for something in or around the first ten rows.

I believe last year I payed about $50 to see Def Leppard and sat close enough that I could have clobbered any of the band members with my drink glass if I wanted to (there's definitely something better about not needing a jumbotron screen to see the band)

I'll pay anything, but if it's too high I'm leaving my wife at home and going alone. And I'm sure she really wouldn't be heartbroken by that.

I just got a fax for early ticket buys for the upcoming Billy Joel/Elton John show in KC. $175 per ticket???? C'mon guys...gimme a break!!! I agree w/Ford's assessment of Garth, who I really dislike, although his keeping ticket prices down WAS nice for the consumer. I can't imagine how $25-$50 per ticket isn't gonna get the baby a new pair of shoes.

Back to the original topic, I'd pay what I felt was a fair price for the seats I was purchasing. If I was in the front 5 rows and it was Dave at the helm, I'd do $100 but only in that instance.

I just put out $45 for U2 and the promoter for the tour SFX has a lot to do with why the tickets are going for the price that they are.But if the show is as good as the new CD I know who ever was able to get the $130 seats considering how fast they are selling,is in for a real great show. From what I hear, the stage is going to look very interesting.
