I'm not going to argue with a VH Fanatic who is right. But if the original VH don't get back together, who would you like DLR to go on the next party of a calender year with?

I want Dave to get Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan back, but I want him to keep his current drummer Ray Luzier.

Word!

But, since this is seemingly a pipe dream these days I'd choose :

Eric Johnson
Billy Sheehan
Ray Luzier

Since this topic is better suited for the Opinions/Speculation forum, I'll move it there.

How about Roth on Vox
Bass/Drums- Double Trouble(SRV)
Guitar - The Great UNknown Player
Sax/Keys - Winters

I always thought Dave should go the way of the blues, which could easily extend his career another 20 years and capturing the blues title as well.

Nothing would be better than Van Halen. Steve Stevens? George Lynch? Come on. Both are good players, but both wouldn't exist if it weren't for Ed.

No, to make it better than Van Halen just replace either singer in those bands with Jeff Scott Soto!

Very true that Steve Stevens and George Lynch came from the Van Halen womb, but by the same token, they have spread their wings as well.

I have some cool guitar instrumentals from Steve Stevens and George Lynch that are so great and innovative.

The best part about these guitar players is that they know how to write good material. I mean c’mon. Let’s face it. There are some awesome guitar players out there, but they can’t write good arrangements.

Steve and George can play and write some really great stuff.

Other guitar players are just whammers.

BTW did you know that Steve Stevens was originally supposed to be Dave’s guitarist back when Dave was staring up the DLR band after the departure from Van Halen back in 1985?

One of many possible combinations...

Drums: Joey Kramer

Bass: Kip Winger

Guitar: Jake E. Lee

Guitar: George Lynch

I just remember watching Steve Stevens play with Vince Neil once and ripping off Eddie's drill trick with a stupid toy lazer gun instead...

Hell, I'll play guitar with Dave. I just hope he likes Cabo Wabo tequila as much as I do! As for the rest of the band, he can get whoever he wants.
