Not sure if this has been discussed before, but how 'bout Kid Rock fronting VH?

He's a modern-day Diamond Dave. It would make for an interesting album and tour.

    What d'all think?

I've seen Kid Rock perform. Kid Rock is no David Lee Roth. The closest he'd ever come to being in Van Halen is selling hot dogs and nachos outside the concert.

Kid Rock reminds me of a frontman version of Zakk Wylde, plus he can rap. He's into southern rock, and he likes to rock old-school, and give respect to his forefathers.

I don't think he's a chump at all. He grew up in Romeo, Michigan. Everyone on the West Coast is like 4 years ahead of everybody over here, fashion-wise. What type of haircut did you EXPECT a rap fan in a suburb of Detroit to have back in 1990???

I don't know if he's right for Van Halen, but I like that he respects Aerosmith, the Stones, Roth, etc.

If Eddie is truly doing some "Santana/Revolving Door Lead Singer" project on the side, I'd love to hear what he could cook up with Kid Rock, if for no other reason than that they're both creative guys who like pure rock n roll.

Just because some of Kid's songs are.....uh....."trendy"....doesn't mean he doesn't like a song like 'Runnin With the Devil'.

Like I said, out of pure curiosity, I'd love to see what would happen. If it sucks, it sucks, push 'skip', and move on to the next track.

I really hope that no matter what VH does next, that Ed eventually releases a compilation of recordings with different singers.

Heck, I hope he records a song with Puff Daddy......as long as the song ends with the hilarious sound of Ed's Wolfgang being slammed on Puffy's skull.

If Kid Rock was the next lead singer, would that mean that VH would have to play his 'solo' songs?
