Finally got around (after a bad PC week in FORD Country) to downloading "Serious Juju". It's heavier than anything on Red Voodoo, which is great, but it seems to back up something I said about the Van Hagar material and predictability.

Just as 7th Seal was pretty much Poundcake II (delete drill, substitute monks), Serious Juju sounds a lot like Salvation on Sand Hill II. If the rest of the album sounds like a sequel to "Marching to Mars" that wouldn't be all bad, but Sammy should try a little harder not to plagaraize himself. Could be worse though..... It ain't a cheese ballad

It's Impossible for Sammy not to plagarize himself! He cant go an entire album without throwing the word "jive" into some song, and Ju-Ju is just another word for VooDoo. While your right Ford, this is at least not a "cheese-ballad" Sammy is still a "cheese-dick"!!

Now all the Sammy-lovers are gonna whine and say "Dave has to keep copying the Van Halen sound, he's not original...whaaaaa-whaaaaaa, my panties are in a bunch...." I'm sick of hearing that shit! He helped to create that sound!! Learn it, Know it, Live it!

    Know what?

I'll go on record saying I think it's pretty good, actually.

Of course, I'm all for anything supporting Sammy's solo career, just now...
