I'm not sure I'm reading you right. Are you losing faith?

This guy needs a VH announcement, STAT!!!

My advice is, take 6 remastered CD's, and call me in the morning.

I agree, it doesn't seem likely that the remasters will sell very well without any promotion at all. I went to a couple local shops yesterday to see if they had any posters up or anything, and they got nothing. You would think that WB (and VH themselves) would want to know that these things sold really well the minute they hit the stores. Without some type of promotion, it's hard to see that happening.

If it was WB's last chance to make some money off of VH, wouldn't they be heavily promoting it?

Did you honestly expect there to be posters up in your local store? Does living life on a forum skew the reality of how absolutely unpopular Van Halen is right now? We're talking about a band here who has released 1 cd since a hits cd, that 1 cd having about as much popularity as a Color Me Badd reunion special.

There's nothing to promote. They're the same old cds people that will buy Van Halen already have. Assuming the band reunites with Roth (yawn), the new fans they make will then go buy the remasters, with the band itself having served as the marketing team... the real advertisement. WB has wasted enough money already remastering cds that needed no change to go and print out posters for your local Sam Goody Blockbuster or Hastings. Gimme a break.

I think that those days are over as far as the touring goes. If you saw VH in 98 what you see is a very bare bones tour. Just the music. Which is fine, I guess. I think the big shows just cost too much. you want to rock your ass off go see AC/DC. They havent lost a step and the show is a "show". However I am hoping the addition of Dave back in the band will make the tour if and when it happens a show like we saw in the 80's but who knows if they can afford it.

I am starting to think that they won't announce anything but ya know how when you go to a record store you always flip thru the VH section just because you do and you don't know why? I bet the next time you do that the new record will just appear like nothing and you will race home to be the first to go to the Main Discussion and say you have it!

Keep the faith everybody. Why shouldn't they put up a poster? I scored the cool BOV1 poster from a record store in my hometown a few years back. I'm just wondering where they're gonna put them. New Release section or just where VH is in alphabetical order.

hey girlgonebad, I thought I was the only one who did that (flip through the VH section EVERY time you go in to a record store) I take it a little farther though I make sure that all the cd's are in order from when they were released
