I remember back in 87-88, they came out with this thing. I talked to my tech friend at the time and he said they were problematic. I ended up blocking my trem so i forgot about it.

    My questions are,
1 do they still make them?
    2 how do they work?
    3 do they work?
4 what exactly do they do?
    5 how much?

I getting my frets done and I'm thinking of floating it again, so any info would be great?

    Thanks BS1 in advance

Homeunit, when I was using kramers I used two diff. versions of tremsetters. They're supposed to keep you from going out of tune if you break a string. I think I can sum up your other questions by saying they're a real pain in the ass. Much less hassle to keep your bridge blocked, or keep a spare guitar handy.

    Thanks guys

The only problem I have with blocking my trem is the intonation seems a little wacky when it's blocked. I can intonate it just fine when it's floating, but when I block it, it off consistantly! I've tried different materials for blocking but to no avail, oh well, I guess I'll have to geta EVHMM! I would, but if I did, I'm pretty confident that I'd single again!

Yeah, now I've had a couple of friends that used them, and I believe Steve Vai said he used them, but I never have. I believe you can still get them, though. If I'm not mistaken Hipshot made those, so you might want to check their website. Oh, and you used to could get them on Fenders at one time too.
