I kind of already know what it is, seems intersting. Does any one have any experience with it? I'm not really looking into buying it, just seems neat(if it works).

    To my second question
http://www.ebow.com/faq.htm#0060 (Under the question Who uses Ebow?)
When did Eddie use one? I'm guessing it was on VH3 since he did some weird stuff on that Album

I've always wanted to pick one up just to fart around with. I saw Phil Keaggy demonstrate one on a video of his that I have and he did some absolutely amazing stuff with it. That link you posted will tell you as much as I know about it.

Ed used the ebow on the beginning of "Spanked" to get that long, high drone sound.

ive had one for about 5 years i got tired of it after awhile. its not as easy as the guys make it sound ,plus you have to use the neck pick up and a pretty clean tone to get those sounds. its cool for sustaining notes and hammer/pull offs onto adajacent strings but, string skipping is alot harder than they make it sound. plus when you use you usually want to start flat picking with it lol. after having it the novelty wears off.

I bought one of those things for some cover songs that I was doing. I think that I got more mileage outta the "no picks" button that was included than the Ebow itself. I agree with Rick S in the fact that it is tougher to get the hang of than it looks. In fact, the other guitarist in my band could never do it. It's a fun little device that has it's place, much like the talkbox.

To my knowledge Ed never used one, but I know that he has a Fernandez-equipped guitar (Fernandez has a sustain "pickup" that is similar, but acts on all of the strings). I cannot give an example of Ed using this axe.

Wolfman, you coming over in a few weeks (or next month)? I will find that bugger and let you have at it.
