If I had the money to burn? Sure.

In reality? Ah no.

-Overpriced

-Alot of the custom paint options really blow the donk and again too fuckin pricey.

-Inlays? Again overpriced.

I think it's a good idea but they could have added a few more body woods and of course, the green, but I know, it's a Custom Shop.....whatevas

I like some of the options but I do not like the prices...

If I had money to burn, then I would get myself a koa Wolfgang or something like that. Or would I ? No, I'd probably use it to try and find myself a stripey Wolfgang - hee hee hee !

But some of the options are plain hideous. And I'm not too pleased with the neck inlays either. I think that the black dots look the best.

I've had a go with the site a few times, and out of the many options of custom jobs, there's three - four guitars that I "built" on there that I actually was pleased with, all the other's I didn't.

But, I wasn't too impressed with the price, and it was unable to find me a local dealer in the UK !!!!

Well please take into account that the prices are LIST price. Most dealers will come down on that.
I like the Custom Shop as far as the top options and colors are concerned. The Cyber Custom Shop Wolfgangs that I've made all were well within reason price wise. Some even a little cheaper than the list price of the production model Standards. Mind you, this is a Custom Shop. You get what you pay for. Compare these prices to the Custom Shop's for other guitar makers.

I do wish there were different pickup options though. I just can't image the stock Wolfgang p'ups sounding that great with other woods. Well, I'm not a HUGE fan of the stock p'ups to begin with. If I could stop myself from buying cheap little guitars here and there, I'd be able to get a CS Wolf. One day I hope. A red quilt top special with a sweet birdseye neck. Yum!

When I was a Wolfgang owner, I was planning on getting a custom built guitar with the following:

Transparent Blue Quilt Top
No carved top, but WITH cream binding. (Half special, half standard body)
Matching headstock.
Birdseye neck.

Then I realized, geez, that's an EBMM Axis. I went and tried the Axis guitars, got rid of the wolfs, bought the axises.

The custom shop is what really turned me on to the Axis. I love my axis guitars, so I gotta say, the custom shop really did it for me!

Hehehehehe.

The Axis, to me, is just a "classy" looking guitar, that is still very "rock and roll". I feel the same way about the original run of quilted Wolfgangs.

Play on, playah!
