Boy I hope this works. I noticed Eddie showing his new striper, and I thought I'd post a picture of mine. I've waited awhile to have this one built for me by a luthier who's a friend of mine. It looks like an EBMM EVH, cause I like that design, but that's where the similarity ends. It's different body wood, different pickups, and a 5 way selector. Like The evh though, the floyd only drops in pitch. I can get sounds from a smooth strat to full blown eruption tones.
As well, I took the picture in sunlight which was a mistake because it washed out the neck color and the fact that it's covered very heavily in bird's eye doesn't show.
The neck fits my hand like a glove cause I was there for every step of the shaping. I even got to pick out the peice of bird's eye maple at the lumber yard so you can bet I went over every peice with a fine tooth comb till I found one that was riddled with it.
This baby sounds absolutely amazing and I can finally retire my real evh's now.
I'd like to thank Homeunit and Goo for helping me get the picture up and supplying a spot to load it from. Thanks guys.
I'll shut up now..

Plain beautiful man. Assuming you put in your PAF's? Congrats, got to be tough sitting at work all day knowing that thing is at home waiting.
You know the best tone I ever had was with that little bandmaster cranked to 10. Edward Van Halen, 1980, Guitar Player Magazine.

Is that the newest Harmony? Damn, you mean you actually show that scrappy looking thing in public?

TOTALLU kidding of course. Nice axe man, really.

I'm thinkin of having one built out of wood that has been submerged in lake eerie for the last two hundred years but is still in perfect condition. Does something spectacular with the pores in it that makes the resonation just ecliptic. I have access to some hunks of birdseye maple that would just be sexy as hell. will see. Hey guys. I know I'm being a bit anal, but I couldn't let it ride without showing you a proper close up of the neck. See what I mean about bird's eye. Now I won't say anymore about it.
Seenbad, isn't that wood you're talking about at the bottom of the lake Maple.

Yeah Tribb, there is a bunch of wood from there, but the only good stuff to make a piece out of would be the birds eye maple that they have.

Yea, I know a furniture maker that bought 2 logs from a batch they brought up. If you could find a nice peice of bird's eye in that preserved wood, that would be an incredible neck. He had it cut to a thick veneer and it was beautiful and hard as a rock. We've got some real nice bird's eye maple up here too. The lumber yards still have lots of it. You've just got to look for the right peice.
