Has anyone heard this new record? Just amazing. The cover of "Sketches of Spain" is worth buying it alone. Here are some samples and reviews.

I don't know man, the hype over this guy, and his "NAME" alone, annoy the fuck out of me.

I remember the first time I saw a Buckethead album way back in 1996 I was like "Who's this loser with the bucket?"..lol

I will never judge someone on appearance again. This guy fuckin' wails & shreds. Everyone is now in love with the dude and hyping him up cuz of the Guns n' Roses gig but I been down with the chicken coup for 7 years now. His real name is Brian Carroll. He is around 33 right now I believe and has been in the biz for more than 10 years doing his solo records and appearing on albums with everyone from Iggy Pop to George Clinton!

His guitar hereos and influences range from Eddie Hazel to Steve Vai to Disney Movies to the kitchen sink! I kid you not.
I know he records quite a bit with a 5150 amp. I know EVH influenced him as well. This guy rocks and he even took lessons with Paul Gilbert way back in the day.
I like his all acoustic solo album COLMA. The track BIG SUR MOON is insane and sounds like something EVH woulda come up with. Like CATHEDRAL on speed or sumthin!
And the wild electric mayhem of his album MONSTERS & ROBOTS is killer. Les Claypool and Brain of Primus back him up on this album. I know even Boosty Collins plays on a few tracks.

If you wanna hear a total freak pushing the envelope, this is your guy.
